Restore shine with Paint correction and polishing

Restore your car’s shine and get rid of imperfections

  • The goal for a paint correction is remove as many imperfections as possible to bring back your vehicles shine. Removing the swirls and micro-scratches is what brings the clarity of your paint back.

A 2-step correction consist of 2 steps- a compound and cutting step, and a polishing step. If you are looking to get as close to ‘perfect’ as possible, a 2-step paint correction is recommended. If you are more concerned with shine rather than removing any scratches, then a 1-step polish is for you. Many factors can play into deciding on a 1 or 2 step correction. If the clear coat of your vehicle is already stretched thin, then maybe a 2- step correction will not be ideal, since the first step will be to cut into the clear coat. We use a paint gauge to see how much clear coat there is to work with. From those results we have a better idea on how to move forward and which process is the best for you.

It is important that your expectations are communicated with us, that way we know what service is right for you and your car.

Paint Correction Process

The process for a paint correction is very tedious, but necessary to achieve your desired expectations. This service time can range from a few hours to 10+ hours because of the preparation before and the precision during the service.

Here is our process:

  1. Clean the wheels and tires with chemicals and a variety of brushes and pads to ensure wheels are cleaned properly.

  2. Rinse vehicle of any dirt, bugs, or debris.

  3. Foam the vehicle with quality soap.

  4. Contact wash with a safe-to-use microfiber, ensure every area is touched and cleaned.

  5. Chemically remove any iron particles that may be stuck on the clear coat, even if they cannot be seen by eye.

  6. Claybar the paint for decontamination, this will remove dirt and particles stuck on your paint that you might not even be able to see.

  7. Dry and clean windows. After vehicle is dried by hand or machine, all windows will get wiped and cleaned.

  8. Apply a panel prep spray to ensure all residues are off the car and will not interfere with the correction process.

  9. Prep the car by taping off any trim or badges that can be in the way while correcting the paint.

  10. Start the correction with a cutting compound on all panels of the car.

  11. Repeat the last step, but with a polish compound to bring out the shine and make the car pop.

  12. Shine and protect tires, plastics and trim. Dressing is applied to give a nice finish and provide UV protection.
